与其 (yǔqí)

In Chinese, "与其" can be translated as "rather", "instead of", or "preferably". It is used to express a preference for one situation or action over another.

Examples of usage:

• 与其抱怨，不如行动。 (Yǔqí bàoyuàn, bùrú xíngdòng.) — Rather than complaining, it's better to take action.
